About the Job

Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving drinks to members and guests in bars, restaurants, and at special events. They must be knowledgeable about handcrafted cocktails, wine, and beer, and be able to mix drinks, pour beer and wine accurately, and without waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve drinks to members and guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bar area and surrounding areas.
  • Be knowledgeable about menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that members and guests have a positive experience.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other staff members to ensure seamless service.
  • Be aware of state and local laws concerning the sale of alcoholic drinks, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of liquors, including call brands, house brands, and premium brands.
  • Create creative cocktails and garnishes, and be able to train other staff members in proper mixology methods.
  • Supervise banquet bartenders and ensure that they are meeting the high standards of the club.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Be able to lift and carry heavy objects, such as kegs and cases of beer and wine.
  • Be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Two-year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Country club experience is required.
  • Pleasant personality with good communication skills, proper service techniques, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
