Position Overview:


The Manufacturing Financial Manager oversees the comprehensive accounting functions for the Cincinnati division of Green Bay Packaging, Inc. This role encompasses financial reporting and budget management while supervising the Accounting and IT teams.

This position reports directly to the Vice President/General Manager of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of accounting, including the preparation of financial reports and budget forecasts.

Manage month-end closings, budgeting processes, forecasting, standard costing, account reconciliations, inventory assessments, capital expenditures, and sales tax compliance.

Supervise, assess, and mentor the accounting team, including the payroll administrator, ensuring that all staff are adequately trained.
Review all financial statement entries for accuracy.
Conduct various business analyses as required.

Actively engage in the facility's leadership team, collaborating with other managers to ensure efficient operations.

Work closely with management to identify and implement cost-saving measures and operational enhancements.
Develop and leverage Power BI tools to enhance performance in key business metrics.

Qualifications:
Strong ethical standards in business practices.
Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing environments, preferably within the corrugated sector.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with all employee levels.
Proficient in major software applications, particularly accounting software, with a solid overall IT comprehension.
Ability to interpret financial statements, regulatory guidelines, contracts, professional publications, and business journals.
Advanced mathematical skills are essential. Proven ability to present financial options and identify trends in financial performance.
Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to resolve practical challenges.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Superior time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Strong listening skills, providing constructive feedback as necessary.
Experience in crisis management, with a high degree of emotional intelligence required.
Familiarity with building and utilizing Power BI reports is advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of five years in an accounting management role.
At least three years of experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of a CPA or CMA certification.
Experience within the corrugated packaging industry.

Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of MS Office is essential, particularly proficiency in MS Excel.
Familiarity with Acumatica, Crystal Report Writing, and Power BI is preferred.
