Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiography of the entire body, including procedures such as Cholangiography, Lumbar and Thoracic Myelography, Gastrointestinal Studies, Intravenous Pyelograms, Arteriography, Operative Cholangiography, and Arthrography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiography of the entire body
  • Set up radiographic suites and ensure that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment/supplies are present and available
  • Prepare and administer contrast material orally, by enema, or under close supervision of radiologists, intravenously but not independently; as required by procedure or patient's condition, monitor vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate) and report any significant changes to a radiologist
  • Lift, position, push, and transfer patients, supplies, and/or equipment as needed
  • Perform related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports
  • As required, maintain records and enter patient information into the computer through the use of the Radiology Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) package

Requirements:

  • English language proficiency
  • ARRT(R) certified (required)
  • Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education of Radiologic Technologists (JRCERT) program, and have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience
  • Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), experience with Agfa PACS is preferred but not required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
  • No sponsorship available

Working Conditions:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
