Job Description

Countrymark Refining and Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) and associated EPA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage regulatory compliance programs and provide technical guidance to various departments.
  • Monitor Cooling Towers (El Paso Stripper Method) and components in the LDAR Program (Method 21).
  • Conduct Fence Line Monitoring Sampling Events (FLM) and QQQ Inspections.
  • Prepare reports on inspections and notify the Air Manager of any deviations from requirements.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, establish work orders as needed, and coordinate repairs of identified systems with the Maintenance Shop.
  • Maintain new and existing tags, add or remove components, and assist with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual monitoring schedules.
  • Review and certify monitoring/repair data and maintain documents and files.
  • Assist Operations and Maintenance with Leak Detection Activities and obtain/maintain Method 9 certification.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years' experience in LDAR operations and/or maintenance required.
  • Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) and NACE PCIM Technologist, API 1169 certifications required.
  • Strong personal communication abilities, including integrity, trust, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of LDAR operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, customers, community members, contractors, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office platform.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize and schedule tasks, respond well to changing priorities, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work regular hours, as well as overtime (nights/weekends) as required.
  • Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies.
