Capsida Biotherapeutics is seeking a highly experienced Medical Director / Executive Medical Director, Clinical Development to lead the advancement of our internal pipeline. This role will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, interacting with global health authorities, designing and executing clinical trials, and analyzing data.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the clinical development of our internal pipeline, including investigational therapies and Phase 1/2 trials
- Collaborate with global health authorities to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements
- Design and execute clinical trials, including protocol development and data analysis
- Work with therapeutic area experts and investigators to advance clinical development
- Provide medical oversight for ongoing clinical trials, including monitoring patient safety and ensuring protocol adherence
- Serve as the medical expert on multidisciplinary project teams, providing input on clinical development plans and trial design
- M.D. degree, with neurology and/or gene therapy training a plus
- 4+ years of industry experience, including early development
- Experience with all aspects of trial design and execution
- Regulatory experience, including filing of INDs
- Proven track record of leadership and achievement
- Experience working effectively in a matrixed team environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate
- Ability to identify innovative approaches to advancing clinical development
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and deliver results
Capsida Biotherapeutics offers a competitive salary and exceptional benefits, including generous stock options, medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and significant PTO.
- Medical Director Salary: $228,000 - $313,000 per year
- Executive Medical Director Salary: $268,000 - $368,500 per year
Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, stock options, and benefits.
