Job Title: Restaurant Shift Manager

Join Five Guys as a Restaurant Shift Manager and take on a leadership role in our fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for directing the daily operations of a restaurant in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain fast, accurate, and outstanding service, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure that the Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are being adhered to.
  • Lead Crew Members and direct all daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing the store, managing employee breaks and shift changes, and completing shift summary reports.
  • Assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations, including scheduling, ordering, and team development.
  • Ensure the restaurant is in compliance with the preventative maintenance program, including facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
  • Work as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks.
  • May assist with interviewing and training new Crew Members.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and adapt in any situation.
