Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our team of healthcare professionals in senior living facilities. This is a full-time, clinical physician lead role that requires supervision by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Responsibilities
  • As a Medical Director, you will provide high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across various assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.
  • You will work closely with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaboration duties include working with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to support them in their clinical roles.
  • You will also be responsible for auditing medical orders and documentation for each provider monthly, as per state and regional regulatory frameworks.
  • If needed, you may assume medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities.
  • Your role will involve identifying new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
  • Participating in company frontline/back-up call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition is also a key responsibility.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Quality outcomes, including care path compliance and productivity
  • Prevention of avoidable transfers
  • Decrease in polypharmacy and costs of care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited school of medicine
  • Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare
  • Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred
  • Active unrestricted licensure to practice in your state
