Job Summary

South Shore Stars is a leading provider of early education and youth development programs, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our classroom teaching team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our children.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, incorporating a range of activities and teaching strategies to promote learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education and incorporating new ideas into your teaching practice.
Requirements
  • EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher or Lead Teacher Certification is required.
  • Infant/Toddler classroom experience is preferred.
  • AA in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and work in a non-sedentary environment.
