General ID Clinician and Director of General ID Programs

The University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine invites applications for the General ID Clinician and Director of General ID Programs position within the Division of Infectious Diseases. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in patient care activities across both inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient consult services and the UCSF Health General ID Clinic.
Key Responsibilities
As a General ID Clinician, the successful candidate will participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and engage in a variety of creative activities, such as clinical research, leadership roles in clinical settings, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education development.
As the Director of General ID Programs, the candidate will play a pivotal leadership role within the UCSF Division of Infectious Diseases, managing the daily operations of the general ID inpatient consult services, collaborating with leaders from primary teams, developing standard operating procedures, addressing faculty challenges, and spearheading the expansion of the ID inpatient consult service to UCSF St. Mary's and St. Francis Hospitals.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must hold an MD, DO, or MD-PhD degree from an LCME-accredited medical school, completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by ACGME, eligibility for medical licensure in California, and board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.

The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700, and membership in the health sciences compensation plan provides eligibility for additional compensation.
