Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infectious Diseases Specialist to join our team as a General ID Clinician and Director of General ID Programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general infectious diseases care and health systems leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in patient care activities across inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient consult services and the UCSF Health General ID Clinic.
  • Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical research, leadership roles in clinical settings, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education development.
  • Manage the daily operations of the general ID inpatient consult services at UCSF Health.
  • Collaborate with leaders from primary teams to develop standard operating procedures and address faculty challenges.
  • Coordinate closely with the Director of the General ID and HIV clinics to ensure seamless integration of patient care between inpatient and outpatient settings.
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or MD-PhD degree from an LCME-accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by ACGME.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in California.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
