Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Assistant to join our team at the Seattle Housing Authority. As a Property Assistant, you will be responsible for performing general cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks, as well as coordinating designated activities of the leasing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks
  • Coordinate designated activities of the leasing process
  • Complete routine inspections of units
  • Respond to questions and concerns from residents and applicants
  • Coordinate maintenance services and process work order requests
  • Check the building and property for fire, safety, health, and security hazards
  • Observe residents for noticeable changes in health, behavior, personal hygiene, or condition of unit
  • Light office work, such as issuing employee badges and maintaining parking violations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in cleaning public spaces, such as apartment lobbies, restrooms, and outdoor grounds
  • Prior experience providing customer service to a diverse range of people
  • Valid Washington state driver's license with an insurable driving record
