Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering professional nursing care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in a high-acuity environment. This role involves preparing medical equipment and assisting physicians during examinations and treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and perform wound care, including dressing changes and cleaning of wounds.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and overall condition, noting any reactions or progress.
- Act as the primary nurse or a supportive team member in the planning and execution of patient care.
- Implement safe aseptic techniques and procedures while providing leadership and guidance to support staff.
Unit Description:
The Coronary Medical ICU is a 24-bed multidisciplinary unit dedicated to caring for patients with serious medical, cardiac, and surgical conditions. Our advanced technologies and treatments address a variety of critical health issues, including Acute Coronary Syndrome, respiratory diseases, and multi-system organ failure.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Preferred one year of nursing experience.
- Current RN license in Texas.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
- Specific unit requirements may apply, including NIHSS and EKG certifications within designated timeframes.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position.
