Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and direct the occupational health staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Operations Management: Oversee the management of department operations, including staff scheduling, equipment maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Service Coordination: Coordinate all in-house and on-site occupational health services, utilizing appropriate staffing and resources.
- Productivity and Growth: Work with sales and marketing teams to promote the occupational health program, and explore innovative cost-effective/patient-centered approaches to patient care.
- Policy Development: Assist in developing, implementing, and updating policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient flow of department activities.
- Communication and Teamwork: Facilitate communication and teamwork between department staff, physicians, and physician office staff to ensure best patient outcomes and efficient work environments.
- Staff Development: Provide staff training and mentoring, ensuring staff have the required certifications for screenings and are performing competently.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Work with Occupational Health Leadership to ensure operations meet all local, state, and federal compliance standards, guidelines, and practices.
- Technology and Systems: Identify, plan, and organize information system and technology improvements in the department, and ensure staff is trained and competent in their use.
- Human Resources: Perform human resources responsibilities for staff, including coaching on performance, completing performance reviews, and recommending hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations.
- Education: Associate's degree in Health Care Administration or related field.
- Experience: Typically requires 3 years of experience in occupational health, including experience in providing work direction to staff.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of OSHA, State Workers Compensation law, ADA regulations, and other governmental health and safety regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills, including project management, process improvement, decision making, delegation, prioritization, team building, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
- Physical Requirements: Exposed to a normal office environment. Must be able to sit frequently, stand and walk occasionally. Must have functional vision, speech, and hearing. May be exposed to blood and/or body fluids, chemicals, or mechanical hazards, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
