Manufacturing Engineer

SpaceX is a pioneering space technology company that aims to make humanity a multi-planetary species. We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Falcon tank manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes for the production of Falcon tanks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Work closely with the quality team to ensure that all manufactured products meet the required standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in metallic manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, drilling, and automation.
- 2+ years of experience in collegiate extracurricular engineering projects or industry product design/development.
- Experience with CAD software, such as NX and Teamcenter.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens technology.
- Experience with large metallic structures manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on machining experience.
- Expertise in design for manufacturability and design for assembly.
- This is a hands-on position that requires standing for up to 4 hours a day and working directly with hardware on the floor.
- Must be comfortable stooping, bending, and standing.
- Position may require long hours and weekend work.
