Quality Enterprises is seeking a bilingual Dispatcher to oversee our operational logistics.

The primary duty of the Dispatcher is to organize the daily itinerary for the Company's fleet, including dump trucks, end dumps, lowboys, sweepers, and water trucks, while effectively dispatching drivers in accordance with the established schedule. The Dispatcher must ensure that the equipment allocated meets the specific requirements of each task. Note: This role requires fluency in both English and Spanish.



Key Responsibilities

To excel in this position, the individual must competently fulfill each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Utilize dispatch software to coordinate and track the daily operations of the Company's vehicles based on job site requests.

  • Confirm that the requested equipment is appropriate for the task.
  • Assign drivers according to the daily itinerary, ensuring punctual arrivals and departures.
  • Act as a liaison for the Company's CDL drivers and field operations management.
  • Monitor CDL drivers' clocking in and ensure completion of daily routes as planned.
  • Supervise driver compliance with DOT regulations by reviewing logbooks and DVIR reports; maintain current DOT logbooks and necessary permits.
  • Ensure truck loads adhere to Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks for CDL Drivers.
  • Prepare incident/accident reports.
  • Manage driver performance through evaluations, regular feedback, coaching, and disciplinary measures.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule routine maintenance and repairs for vehicles.
  • Generate and maintain reports to inform management of statuses, trends, and issues.
  • Communicate with field supervision to ensure timely requests for trucks.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Preferred: Two-year associate's degree; high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Five years of experience in moving, operating, and dispatching heavy equipment is required.
  • Preferred: Two years of management experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dump truck, lowboy, and flatbed trailer configurations is essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of DOT weight regulations is required.
  • Familiarity with Class A CDL driver hours of service and other DOT regulations is necessary.
  • Experience with GPS tracking for vehicles and the ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Working knowledge of construction site safety, vehicle maintenance, and road safety regulations is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities are required.
