Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

Catholic Charities is seeking a qualified Peer Support Specialist to join our team at our CCBHC clinic in New Haven. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will work closely with clients who are struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, providing them with the support and guidance they need to achieve recovery.
Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with the integrated care team to develop comprehensive care plans, facilitating warm handoffs to treatment programs, and participating in peer recovery groups. You will also serve as a resource for clients, providing them with information and guidance to help them navigate their recovery journeys.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is required, as is a minimum of one year's experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and is committed to making a positive impact in their community.
