Job Overview

The Senior Accounting Professional will undertake responsibilities autonomously, guiding a team of junior accountants by offering direction, evaluating their outputs, and making informed decisions regarding accounting, auditing, and taxation issues. For atypical matters, consultation with upper management is encouraged.

This role involves establishing timeframes for assignments, steering junior accountants towards achieving goals efficiently, and exemplifying professionalism in interactions with both team members and clients.

As a pivotal link between accounting/tax personnel and management/partners, the candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, client service acumen, supervisory capabilities, marketing insights, and administrative proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a variety of accounting, auditing, and tax-related tasks under supervision.
  • Exhibit proficiency in technical skills, uphold work quality, and comply with professional standards.
  • Compile client reports with accuracy.
  • Effectively organize work schedules utilizing project management methodologies.
  • Adhere to deadlines consistently.
  • Engage in planning and scheduling client engagements.

For Financial Statement Management

  • Develop expertise in accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial statement presentations.
  • Efficiently supervise audit and non-audit engagements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in preparing financial statements.
  • Propose enhancements to client systems during engagements.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure engagement completion.

For Tax Engagement Management

  • Acquire knowledge of tax legislation and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns.
  • Prepare intricate tax returns with precision.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in tax matters for team members.
  • Train staff and assist in various projects.
  • Support tax administration initiatives.
  • Communicate with clients regarding tax preparation requirements.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in public accounting.
