Job Title: RN Medical Surgical Unit

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit team at Trinity Health.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those with colorectal, hepatobiliary, thyroid/parathyroid, and vascular trauma. As a Registered Nurse on our Medical Surgical Unit, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze patient information to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement, evaluate, and revise plans of care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Use teach-back methodology to educate patients and families on their care and treatment.
  • Actively seek to prevent potential hospital-acquired complications.
  • Effectively communicate patient status, priority goals, and interventions during consultations, rounds, and handoffs.
  • Follow all HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Behave in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Trinity Health.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • BLS.
  • ACLS required for certain departments.
  • Experience working in a Medical Surgical Unit or similar setting.
