About the Role

Martine Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department and maintaining the quality of care.
  • Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure effective communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Meet the medical needs of all residents, including coordinating care and ensuring timely completion of medical records.
  • Be available for 24-hour on-call shifts to address any urgent needs.
  • Develop and implement plans for nursing services, including staffing and resource allocation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing theories and practices to ensure the best possible care for our residents.
  • Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and orienting of new nursing staff.
  • Oversee daily staffing processes and ensure that all nursing staff are properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Maintain a safe and infection-free environment for our residents.
  • Be flexible with your work schedule to address unpredictable needs and ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Requirements
  • Current State RN license required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
  • 2 years of management experience preferred.
  • 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
  • Flexible hours required.
