Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Physician Assistant to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching didactic lectures and providing curricular specific expertise to support the mission, purpose, and goals of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned didactic lectures and provide curricular specific expertise to support the mission, purpose, and goals of the program.
  • Participate in assessment of student learning activities at the course and program level to maximize the potential for students to learn what is necessary to meet prescribed outcomes.
  • Actively and substantively participate in department initiatives and contribute to the development of course materials and syllabi.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed and consistently employ a variety of teaching methodologies to instruct students.
  • Regularly contribute to improvement or upgrading of course materials and syllabi in collaboration with the Program Chair/Director or Academic Coordinator/Associate Chair.
  • Follow established University protocols for providing timely feedback and/or academic advising.
Qualifications
  • Master's or doctorate degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
  • Experience in teaching and education, preferably in a higher education setting.
