About the Role

Martine Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department and maintaining the quality of care.
  • Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure effective communication and compliance with all levels of nursing staff.
  • Meet the medical needs of all residents, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained.
  • Be available for 24-hour on-call duty to address any urgent needs.
  • Coordinate and direct the planning of nursing services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of medical records.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
  • Oversee the daily staffing process to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Ensure infection control measures are in place and maintained.
  • Maintain flexibility with work schedules to address unpredictable needs.
Requirements
  • Current State RN license required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
  • 2 years of management experience preferred.
  • 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
  • Flexible hours required.
