Job Overview

Embakire is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will provide critical assistance to customers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure equipment is maintained within factory standards, providing technical guidance to customers as needed.
  • Deliver comprehensive training to customers on system equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Act as a liaison between Embakire and customers on assigned projects, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Perform complex repairs, maintenance, or unit replacements according to factory procedures, working independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing operation procedures, equipment malfunctions, and other technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure positive customer relationships.
  • Identify and report equipment errors and status updates related to performance issues, aiding in troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities and provide periodic reports.
  • Conduct training for customer personnel, ensuring proficiency in service and operations.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (technical training, military training, or technical school) plus 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience or knowledge in optical, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemicals is required.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system is preferred for operating and troubleshooting the system.
  • Hands-on mechanical skills and experience with electronic testing tools are essential.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player under challenging situations.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills, verbal and written communication skills, and customer support experience are highly valued.
  • Must be able to travel and work flexible schedules.
  • Must feel comfortable working in a cleanroom environment, wearing full protective gear.
  • May require domestic travel; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary.
  • Position requires continuous physical effort, intermittent and long-term work cycles, standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted.
