Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Arborist Technician to join our team at Almstead Tree and Shrub Care. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tree care services.

Job Summary

The Senior Arborist Technician will assist the crew leader in performing various tasks, including climbing, pruning, and rigging, as well as operating equipment such as chainsaws and bucket trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments.
  • Assist in the performance of specialized pruning and take-downs, installing cabling and bracing.
  • Safely operate equipment and participate in all job site safety briefings.
  • Utilize knowledge of compartmentalization and other concepts related to tree wounding/pruning.
Requirements:
  • TWO/Four year degree in Arboriculture or 2+ years of tree care industry experience.
  • Knowledge of pruning techniques, including large shade trees and ornamentals.
  • Ability to climb utilizing rope and saddle.
  • Knowledge of industry standard rigging techniques and knots.
