Senior Maintenance Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our Multifamily team in Fairfield, CT.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with our residents, providing exceptional service and maintaining our properties to the highest standards. As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for delivering quality move-ins, supervising vendors and contractors, and responding to resident requests in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Move-In Ready Apartments: Ensure that apartments are thoroughly cleaned, repaired, and ready for occupancy by conducting thorough inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Maintain Property Inspections: Assist the Property Manager with daily, weekly, and monthly inspection logs on mechanicals and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and snow removal as required.
  • Supervise Maintenance Staff: Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the work of maintenance staff, ensuring efficient and effective execution of tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, trade school, technical, or vocational training.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of related experience in multifamily maintenance operations.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license, EPA 608 Type II certification, and CPO or local city certificate.

Working Conditions

This role operates in a professional office environment, requiring regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions. The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, ascending/descending stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
