Department Summary

The Media Arts department offers a liberal arts education that empowers students as creative media producers and critical consumers. We equip students with the principles, skills, critical thinking, and opportunities necessary to thrive in a dynamic media landscape.

Position Overview

The UNT Department of Media Arts is seeking a non-student hourly worker to support the production of a weekly television program.

Minimum Qualifications

Prior experience in live television studio production, including studio environment and editing/directing/technical aspects of content creation and real-time broadcasting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work effectively and patiently with students.
  • Understanding of technical advancements and techniques in media distribution.
  • Familiarity with broadcasting equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Proficient in the development and execution of live broadcasts and media production.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with ROSS systems.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

None

Job Duties:
  • Assisting students in the production of live broadcasts, including show and graphic design.
  • Resolving technical and equipment-related issues.
  • Serving as a liaison between Media Arts students and the Dave Campbell's Texas Football Program.
Work Schedule:

9-10 hours per week, depending on production schedule.
