Production Planner

Key Responsibilities:

• Review MRP plans daily and develop/execute plans ensuring timely delivery to Production and Suppliers with all required information.
• Establish daily build rates on repetitive items based on demand – create and release JIT schedules to Production.
• Oversee inventory accuracy for the facility, ensuring inventory transactions are accurate and inventory is organized and located in an efficient manner.
• Create all MRO purchase orders for the TX facility based upon approved purchase requisitions.
• Assess the impact of revision/engineering changes – execute changes as required, while preventing obsolete inventory and coordinating time of change with customer.
• Monitor/report on Production attainment to schedule/s and Supplier delivery to due date – coordinate expedite needs and/or communicate issues that will impact on-time deliveries as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years related manufacturing experience in an MRP/ERP environment – in-depth understanding of routings, bills of material, lead times, inventory control, etc.
• Independent application of process knowledge to execute plant production plan.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated analytical ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with co-workers, customers, and vendors at all levels.
