We are currently in search of a Manufacturing Operations Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the production of Kingspan's aluminum framing and glazing products aligns with our stringent quality, efficiency, and timely delivery standards. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with OSHA, ICC, UL, and NFRC standards by rigorously adhering to our quality management system and its associated documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety protocols and ensure adherence to processes.
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery to ensure proper operation and safety measures.
  • Accurately document all modifications and updates on shop orders.
  • Manage daily shipping schedules and promptly communicate any changes to relevant personnel.
  • Continuously seek methods to reduce costs by minimizing waste and enhancing efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and address team challenges arising from changes.
  • Recognize and eliminate obstacles to change while promoting its advantages.
  • Resolve issues through thorough analysis and logical reasoning.
  • Engage in cross-training initiatives with the framing and glazing fabrication team to ensure operational continuity in the absence of supervisory staff.
  • Oversee the proper packaging and crating of framing and glazing products.
  • Maintain daily communication with all department employees and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Administer timely disciplinary actions in line with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate processes and materials within the facility to guarantee on-time delivery as per the facility schedule.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and safety goals in collaboration with the Plant Manager.
  • Offer recommendations and participate in annual reviews of all direct reports alongside the Plant Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment transitioning from raw materials to finished goods, ideally within the glazing or metal fabrication sectors.
  • Proficient in the safe operation of saws, notching, drilling, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to utilize and comprehend basic measuring instruments.
  • Accurate counting and recording of production data.
  • Experience operating electric or propane-powered sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with integrated manufacturing software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bi-lingual capabilities are a plus.
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
