Daily Responsibilities: As a Manufacturing Laborer at Veritas Steel LLC, your tasks will include grinding, drilling, maintaining cleanliness in the shop, and performing various other duties. You will be expected to meet production goals efficiently while ensuring high-quality output.

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent attendance to facilitate skill development
  • Adherence to attendance policies and procedures
  • Commitment to workplace safety and active participation in our safety culture
  • Focus on quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability in work

Job Activities:

  • Operating hand and power tools, including grinders and sanders
  • Assisting in the setup and operation of equipment necessary for material fabrication as per job specifications
  • Keeping a clean and organized workspace, including proper material storage and disposal
  • Utilizing appropriate safety gear to ensure surfaces are prepared for all operations
  • Collaborating with supervisors and team members to complete work orders efficiently and with high quality
  • Performing additional tasks as directed by the supervisor

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and carry 30 lbs.
  • Capability to push/move objects requiring up to 50 lbs. of force
  • Pulling requirements up to 122 lbs. of force
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
  • Good range of motion for reaching forward, shoulder to overhead, and bending
  • Dexterity in fingers and thumbs on both hands

Work Environment:

  • Work conducted indoors in a spacious warehouse or outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving machinery, heavy steel, and other potential hazards
  • Required safety equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots
