As a key member of our production team, you will work closely with the Finishing Manager and other departments to deliver exceptional results on a wide range of projects. Your expertise in scenic finishes and techniques will be instrumental in achieving our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Shop Floor Management: Oversee daily operations on the finishing shop floor, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with Scenic and Millwork Foremen to monitor progress on projects and maintain a well-organized work environment.
  • Scheduling & Communication: Assist with labor scheduling, coordinating resources effectively to meet project deadlines. Act as a liaison between the Finishing Department and other departments, facilitating clear communication and information flow.
  • Material Procurement & Inventory: Order materials as needed, ensuring timely delivery and sufficient stock levels. Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate any shortages or requirements to the Finishing Manager.
  • Sample Creation & Project Meetings: Create samples for upcoming projects, demonstrating your understanding of client specifications and design concepts. Attend project meetings in the absence of the Finishing Manager, providing updates and insights on finishing processes.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Department Manager with administrative tasks, including expense reconciliation, timesheet approval, and material ordering.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a Scenic or Fabrication finishing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in scenic skills, including faux finishing, foam carving, event finishing, wood/millwork finishing, and skim coating.
  • Proficiency with technology, such as Gmail, Google Drive, and project management software.
  • Ability to effectively lead crews of diverse skill levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
