Job Title: Production Supervisor

Solana USA, a leading custom seasoning and functional ingredient manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team in North Las Vegas, NV.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor will provide leadership and guidance to employees on the production floor, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This role is responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities according to the organization's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily walks and visual inspections of the production floor to identify potential hazards and take corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by championing safety and ergonomic activities, and developing and meeting plant safety goals.
  • Ensure product quality and safety by adhering to product specification requirements and maintaining knowledge of products and equipment.
  • Train employees on safe operating procedures, including lock-out and tag-out, and ensure they understand the Food Safety plan and Food Quality plan.
  • Work with the Operations Managers and/or Superintendents/Supervisors to maintain knowledge of yields and variances, methods of calculations, and typical problem areas and methods for corrections and improvement.
  • Suggest changes in work flow processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Trace and analyze key product result measures for improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2+ years of related experience, or 4 years of manufacturing industry experience in a production environment and a minimum of 2 years related experience leading or supervising others.
  • Bachelor's degree and previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Internet, Spreadsheet, Word, and Order processing, and Inventory software preferred.
  • Previous food processing experience, supervisory experience, manufacturing knowledge, and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
Pay Range:

USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 per year.
