Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer role at V2X is pivotal in delivering specialized knowledge to various contracts and the Intelligence Community on a global scale. This position focuses on the electrical engineering components involved in the installation, enhancement, operation, and upkeep of facilities, mission systems, support systems, as well as power generation, distribution, and grounding systems.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer encompass:

  • Offering expert guidance on electrical engineering related to the installation, modification, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical facilities and systems.
  • Exhibiting exceptional technical skills and innovative thinking in both 2D and 3D electrical computer-aided design and modeling.
  • Creating intricate plans informed by client input and personal expertise, adhering to governmental standards.
  • Designing facilities that incorporate essential power systems, lighting solutions, and load calculations to fulfill stringent electrical requirements.
  • Drafting construction documents, specifications, and budget estimates.
  • Providing mentorship and training to fellow engineering team members.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electrical facility design, construction, maintenance, and operations.
  • Conducting assessments of building and facility conditions concerning electrical systems.
  • Executing power system calculations, including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies.
  • Serving as a technical authority on electromagnetic interference mitigation.
  • Reviewing design packages for facilities and equipment to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Overseeing the proper installation and functioning of complex UPS and generator systems to ensure reliable and redundant power for critical operations.
  • Implementing quality assurance measures for electrical construction to guarantee workmanship quality and adherence to standards.
  • Providing expert input for the development of technical documentation, including regulations and informational pamphlets.
  • Being ready for immediate deployment to various locations to deliver technical support in challenging environments.
