Job Summary

Metro Community Health Center is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Therapist to join our team. As a Mobile Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals in underserved communities throughout Pittsburgh.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Behavioral Activation.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention support and referrals to clients in acute distress or experiencing psychiatric emergencies.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with Mental Health Case Managers to facilitate care coordination, resource navigation, and linkage to services as deemed clinically and socially necessary for mental health treatment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, and use provided tools to track patient care and treatment outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on best practices in mental health treatment by attending relevant training and workshops.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Pennsylvania State license as a therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.).
  • Experience: Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills, with experience providing evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy and psychiatric services to diverse populations.
  • Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage difficult patient situations.
Work Environment

The Mobile Therapist will work in a mobile van setting, traveling to various neighborhoods in Pittsburgh, including Wilkinsburg, Braddock, Forest Hills, Homestead, Penn Hills, Downtown, Uptown, Rankin, and other communities along the Monongahela River.
