Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures, ensuring minimal discomfort and maximum image quality.
  • Administer contrast media and other medications as required, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures, including image orientation, marker placement, and patient identification.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and image quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, attending training sessions and workshops as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current certification in Radiography (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) or Instructor certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, with at least 5 years of experience within the past 7 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic environment.
  • Compliance with Hospital policies, established practices, protocols, and procedures, as well as applicable professional standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and other imaging software.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and pathology, as well as their impact on imaging procedures.
  • Ability to transfer and retrieve images on the PACS system.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
