Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain various types of medical imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines.
  • Position patients for exams and ensure proper alignment and comfort.
  • Adjust equipment settings to achieve optimal image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams and imaging results.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a radiology setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PACS systems and image management software.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
