Chief Cardiac Sonographer Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Cardiac Sonographer to lead our Diagnostic Imaging department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring efficient and professional diagnostic procedures, and providing safe and age-appropriate care to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging services
- Assist with scheduling and staff coverage to ensure adequate resources
- Perform a wide range of technical, clerical, and leadership procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
- Review images for quality and completeness, and provide constructive feedback to staff
- Maintain departmental records, including staff educational records and orientation records
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and attend departmental and leadership meetings
- Oversee the competency process for all staff in the department
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory agency standards
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program
- Reg Cardiac Sonographer - CCI or Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer certification
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification
- Three years of supervisory experience and five years of experience in modality
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to function independently and under pressure
