Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Design Manager to lead our seasonal design implementation process, from concept to delivery. The successful candidate will supervise a team of graphic artists to create original, trend-appropriate art concepts that meet product needs and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the seasonal design implementation process, from concept to delivery
  • Supervise a team of graphic artists to create original, trend-appropriate art concepts
  • Manage the timely execution of each stage in the process
  • Coordinate across categories to ensure consistent quality and look
  • Lead team in troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving quality and technical issues
  • Supervise creation of Illustrator sketches, Graphic Art concepts and all-over repeat development
  • Work cross-divisionally with Design, Final Art and Production Teams
  • Direct interoffice communication and follow-up with internal and external customers and contacts
  • Partner with production and tech to ensure timely execution of product development calendar
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of individuals and team
  • Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary
  • Attract, develop and retain talent

Requirements

  • Strong ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with others
  • Experience with graphic and print development
  • Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising
  • Strong ability to give directions in a clear and concise manner
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design
  • 8-10 years experience in apparel design; significant relevant experience in category
  • Highly proficient in Adobe programs, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Outlook, Mac computers
