Job Summary

The Senior Graphic Artist collaborates with the design team to develop innovative, trend-appropriate graphics and prints for the Adult & Kids Character License Sleepwear Division and Branded Adult and Kids Sleepwear Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create graphics and prints based on direction from the Design Director.
  • Research graphic trends each season across accounts and licenses.
  • Develop art using various illustration and graphic styles to apply to different license/brands and styles.
  • Prepare art files for production, including putting print and pattern into repeat, recoloring, and assigning techniques.
  • Modify and update graphics and prints as needed based on revisions requested by the Sales team, Buyers, Production teams, and Licensors.
  • Maintain technique libraries and art resource aids for the design team, staying current with new art techniques and trends.
  • Contribute to the creation of presentations and special projects, including maintaining and updating art and graphic elements within presentation boards.
  • Prepare trend graphic/print reports from better and contemporary markets for development inspiration and trend.
  • Work collaboratively and respectfully with the Graphic, Design, and Sales teams, attending online Licensor Rollouts and Meetings.
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of relevant design experience in adult & kids sleepwear, with a focus on character license experience.
  • Strong illustration skills and ability to sketch up ideas.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, with experience in creating seamless all-over pattern repeats.
  • Ability to collaborate with the design and graphic team in all aspects of line development, considering customers, price point, and practicality of producing artwork.
  • Proficiency in MAC computers and ability to multitask and time manage workflow while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Understanding of cross-functional relationships and product lifecycles.

Salary Range: $74,000-$90,000
