Job Title: Neurophysiology Technologist I

OU Health is seeking a highly skilled Neurophysiology Technologist I to join our team. As a Neurophysiology Technologist I, you will play a critical role in assisting in the performance of various Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the performance of Neurophysiology procedures, including recording and analyzing data from various Neurophysiology equipment.
  • Obtain patient history, attach patient electrodes, and operate Neurophysiology equipment during procedures.
  • Analyze wave graphs and make documentation to indicate disorders, artifact, and responsible for settings adjustments.
  • Care for all age groups, set-up and prepare patients for Neurophysiology studies, and complete post-study paperwork to maintain patient files.
  • Adhere to hospital/departmental guidelines and judgment during patient care, attend and participate in educational, departmental, and required meetings.
  • Observe Neurophysiology data and be willing to acquire new skills under the direction of physicians, nurse practitioners, managers, and technologists.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in science or health-related field preferred.
  • 1 or more years of experience in the Neurophysiology/Neurodiagnostics/Polysomnography field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Become board eligible according to ASET Pathways within 3 years and Registered/Certified Neurodiagnostics Technologist strongly preferred within 5 years.
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
