Job Summary

OU Health is seeking a highly skilled Neurophysiology Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our Neurodiagnostics department, you will play a critical role in assisting with various Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform competently two or more modalities of Neurophysiology studies, including EEG, EMU, LTM, ECI, and pruning Studies
  • Assist with patient preparation, education, and maintenance of the Neurophysiology department
  • Record and identify various Neurophysiology data, analyze study activity, and make notations to indicate any disorder or artifact
  • Ensure patient safety, promote evidence-based practice, and exhibit professionalism
  • Train and precept new hires and assist Physicians, Nurse practitioners, Managers, and technologists as needed
  • Set, adjust, and operate equipment during procedures
  • Function in other areas within the Neurophysiology department as needed, including the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit

Requirements:

  • High school graduate with some post-secondary college education in a science or health-related area
  • 2 years of experience in Neurophysiology/Neurodiagnostics and competent in performing two or more Neurophysiology/Neurodiagnostics studies
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of EEG Technology
  • Certified Neurodiagnostics Technologist
