IT Project Manager

ZimVie is a leading global life sciences company dedicated to advancing clinical technology and improving patient outcomes. We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of restoring daily life.
Key Responsibilities- Project Initiation and Planning: Facilitate the initiation of IT technical projects by defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Conduct kickoff meetings and schedule regular team meetings to advance the project plan.
- Resource Management and Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define resource needs, availability, and allocation. Develop a comprehensive resource plan to ensure project tasks are adequately staffed and milestones are achieved.
- Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and obstacles to project success. Proactively work with project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Status Reporting and Communication: Prepare and deliver project status updates, presentations, and reports to stakeholders, including senior leadership. Ensure transparent communication of project progress, changes, risks, and outcomes to all relevant parties.
- Technical Project Requirements: Oversee projects that may involve new technology implementations, system upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and process optimization initiatives. Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant IT standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure project objectives are understood, resources are optimized, and stakeholder expectations are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to refine and improve project management processes and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
- Technical Project Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet). Proven ability to manage complex IT projects, including software development, system integration, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Capable of influencing and persuading stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Leadership and Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving project success. Skilled in managing diverse teams, including remote and geographically dispersed members, to achieve high performance and project alignment.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions. Ability to make informed decisions under pressure, considering both short-term and long-term project impacts.
- Adaptability and Agility: Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and remain flexible in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building: Proficiency in managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external partners. Capable of engaging diverse groups to build consensus and drive project alignment.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain focus on key project objectives. Organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to ongoing learning and improvement. Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance project management skills, methodologies, and tools to drive efficiency and project success.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity principles, and cloud computing environments. Able to quickly understand new technologies and their impact on project objectives.
- Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Project Management, or Business Administration).
- At Least 3 Years of Experience: Managing IT projects, including experience with software development, IT infrastructure, systems integration, or cybersecurity projects.
- Desirable: Experience working in a regulated environment, such as healthcare, finance, or government.
- Proven Track Record: Delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
