Job Summary:

The Associate Project Manager is a key role in our IT team, responsible for managing various aspects of technical projects to ensure timely execution, within budget, and according to scope. This position leverages strong technical expertise and project management skills to support the organization in achieving its project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Initiation and Planning: Facilitate the initiation of IT technical projects by defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop and maintain a master project schedule to ensure alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Resource Management and Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define resource needs, availability, and allocation. Develop a comprehensive resource plan to ensure project tasks are adequately staffed and milestones are achieved.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and obstacles to project success. Proactively work with project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Status Reporting and Communication: Prepare and deliver project status updates, presentations, and reports to stakeholders, including senior leadership. Ensure transparent communication of project progress, changes, risks, and outcomes to all relevant parties.
  • Technical Project Requirements: Oversee projects that may involve new technology implementations, system upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and process optimization initiatives. Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant IT standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure project objectives are understood, resources are optimized, and stakeholder expectations are met.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing IT projects, including experience with software development, IT infrastructure, systems integration, or cybersecurity projects.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, such as healthcare, finance, or government, is highly desirable.

Up to 5%
