Key Responsibilities- Design and implement the HSE strategy for the site, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001 standards, conducting internal and external audits, and adhering to local and national regulations.
- Establish and maintain the Environmental Management System in compliance with local laws, ISO 14001, and company standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to define and accomplish HSE objectives.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable company HSE standards.
- Oversee the execution of environmental compliance programs.
- Manage hazardous waste operations in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Create tailored HSE programs aimed at enhancing safety performance.
- Provide comprehensive training to ensure all team members are well-versed in HSE protocols.
- Conduct investigations into incidents to prevent future occurrences.
- Serve as a technical authority in HSE matters.
- Ensure the emergency response team is well-prepared for any site emergencies.
- Lead initiatives to improve Industrial Hygiene Risk management.
- Supervise the Contractor Safety program to minimize risks.
- Manage site security protocols effectively.
- Handle Risk Management activities to safeguard assets.
- Collaborate with risk control specialists on new initiatives.
- Oversee worker's compensation claims and incident follow-ups.
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and deadlines.
- Proficient in cross-functional collaboration.
- Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, along with 5-10 years of experience in safety and environmental management. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication capabilities, and familiarity with food manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are essential.
