Department Overview
The Lundquist College of Business (LCB) is recognized for its accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), representing the pinnacle of global business education standards. The college provides comprehensive undergraduate and graduate business education at the University of Oregon's main campus, along with specialized graduate programs in Portland, OR, including the Sports Product Management (SPM) program and the Oregon Executive Master's of Business Administration (OEMBA).

The Sports Product Management program offers Master of Science degrees through both an 18-month Portland-based and a 21-month Online format. These programs integrate the sports industry with student learning, featuring top industry professionals who impart knowledge through hands-on educational experiences focused on innovation, sustainability, and a global business outlook. Faculty members in SPM bring a wealth of educational and industry expertise to the classroom.

This program utilizes a cohort model, where students collaborate in teams tasked with the development, creation, and market introduction of a sports or outdoor product.

The curriculum encompasses the entire product development lifecycle, including courses on branding, consumer behavior, human physiology, design thinking, product innovation, footwear and apparel production, sourcing, manufacturing, and market strategies.

The program is built on three foundational principles: global perspective, sustainability, and innovation, which are integrated throughout the coursework.
Position Overview
The Lundquist College of Business, specifically the Sports Product Management Program, maintains a candidate pool for Pro Tem Instructor roles as opportunities arise. These positions are temporary appointments that may be renewed for a maximum of three years. In certain cases, extensions beyond three years may be possible based on program needs, funding availability, and individual performance. Pro Tem faculty operate under the guidance of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and/or the appropriate department head.

All roles are contingent upon funding availability. Compensation is determined by qualifications and rank.

The LCB, Sports Product Management Program is seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas:

- Other related business disciplines.

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline
