Automotive Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Express Technician to join our team at Swickard Auto Group. As an Express Technician, you will play a vital role in providing fast, accurate, and high-quality service to our customers.
- Routine Maintenance and Inspections: Perform multi-point inspections, identifying potential issues and preventative maintenance needs. Change engine oil and filters according to manufacturer specifications. Rotate and balance tires, checking air pressure and tread wear. Top off or replace fluids (coolant, windshield washer fluid, etc.). Perform other express services like battery checks, wiper blade replacements, and air filter changes.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Explain service recommendations clearly and concisely, obtaining customer authorization before proceeding. Provide estimated wait times and keep customers informed of service progress. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Technical Skills and Safety: Possess a strong understanding of basic automotive maintenance procedures. Work efficiently and accurately, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety protocols. Use a variety of diagnostic tools and equipment effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is also required. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in automotive repair or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of basic automotive systems and maintenance procedures is essential. Ability to follow manufacturer service specifications and safety guidelines is also required.
