Reliability Maintenance Leader

Salary Range: $110,000 to $145,000
OBJECTIVE:
The Reliability Maintenance Leader will deliver both strategic and operational guidance to fulfill critical objectives in safety, environmental adherence, production efficiency, reliability, precision maintenance, and cost management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a talent for team development and coaching, managing through established systems. High standards in all aspects of a top-tier maintenance organization are essential. A solid foundation in electrical systems, ranging from low voltage controls to high voltage power distribution, is required, along with a thorough understanding of electrical safety and NFPA70E standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a zero-injury safety culture and facilitate the mill's transition to a safety-centric environment.
- Champion NFPA 70E compliance and oversee all facets of the electrical safety initiative.
- Support and enhance the mill's safety AIP process.
- Foster a skilled workforce empowered to make decisions at all levels.
- Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive reliability training program.
- Establish and enforce improved housekeeping standards.
- Embrace and promote World Class Maintenance principles: Planning and Scheduling, Reliability, and employee performance enhancement.
- Enhance productivity and reliability across all areas by focusing on capital utilization, training improvements, and maintenance systems.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and A3 processes to eliminate recurring issues.
- Develop and maintain a five-year strategic plan that aligns with the Mill, Division, and Company vision.
- Oversee capital processes and projects to ensure optimal returns on investments.
- Ensure spare parts management, preventive maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance (PDM) protocols are established for all new systems.
- Plan annual budgets for the Reliability department and adhere to them to achieve yearly objectives.
- Support and manage the countermeasure/T-card system.
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Control Criteria (TCCs) for effective troubleshooting, safety, performance, and KPI achievement.
- Focus on total maintenance performance through planning & scheduling, optimizing labor hours, and reducing reliance on contractors.
- Effectively manage daily and strategic maintenance issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
- Standard schedule is an 8-hour M-F commitment, but flexibility for alternate schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, is necessary.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of five (5) years in a Reliability management position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is advantageous.
- Aspirations for career advancement into roles with greater responsibility.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (or equivalent demonstrated electrical maintenance experience).
- Preferred experience in Reliability Maintenance; supervisory experience is mandatory – minimum of 5 years.
