Maintenance Manager Position at Macon

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager will provide strategic and tactical leadership to achieve key Reliability objectives in safety, environmental compliance, production, reliability, precision maintenance, and cost. The ideal candidate will have a high standard for all aspects of a world-class maintenance organization, including electrical knowledge from low voltage controls to high voltage power distribution. Knowledge and high expectations around electrical safety and NFPA70E are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safety Initiatives: Eliminate injuries and promote a safety-focused culture.
  • Ensure Compliance: NFPA 70E and all aspects of the electrical safety program.
  • Support and Lead: Safety AIP process.
  • Develop a Skilled Team: Capable of making decisions independently.
  • Establish and Manage: Comprehensive reliability training program.
  • Enhance Housekeeping Standards: Ensure adherence to them.
  • Implement World Class Maintenance: Practices focusing on Planning and Scheduling, Reliability, and employee performance.
  • Improve Productivity and Reliability: Optimizing capital utilization, enhancing training, and refining maintenance work systems.
  • Utilize RCFA and A3 Processes: Address recurring failures.
  • Create and Maintain: Five-year plan aligning with the Mill, Division, and Company vision.
  • Supervise and Engage: Capital projects to ensure ROI.
  • Manage Spare Parts, PMs, and PDM Routes: Efficiently.
  • Plan Annual Reliability Department Spending: Within budget.
  • Support the Countermeasure/T-Card System:
  • Ensure Adherence to SOPs and TCCs: Effective troubleshooting, safety, and performance.
  • Focus on Total Maintenance Performance: Optimize planning & scheduling, reduce contractor reliance, and enhance man-hour efficiency.
  • Address Day-to-Day and Strategic Issues/Maintenance: Effectively.
Schedule Demands:
  • General Schedule: 8-hour M-F assignment, flexibility required for occasional alternate schedules.
  • Possible Overnight Travel: May be necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Five Years of Experience: In a Reliability management role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP: Advantageous.
  • Aspiring to Advance: To higher roles.
Education/Knowledge:
  • BE Engineering: Preferred (or equivalent electrical maintenance experience).
  • Supervisory Experience: Required, with a minimum of 5 years in Reliability Maintenance.
Skills:
  • Thorough Understanding: Of reliability systems.
