Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Claims Representative to join our team at ESIS, a leading Third-Party Administrator (TPA) providing claims, risk control & loss information systems to Fortune 1000 clients across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and settle claims promptly, equitably, and within established best practices guidelines.
  • Receive assignments, review claim and policy information, and determine the extent of the policy's obligation to the insured.
  • Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, police officers, etc. to secure necessary claim information.
  • Prepare reports on investigation, settlements, denials of claims, individual evaluation of involved parties, etc.
  • Set reserves within authority limits and recommend reserve changes to Team Leader.
  • Review progress and status of claims with Team Leader and discuss problems and suggested remedial actions.
  • Assist Team Leader in developing methods and improvements for handling claims.
  • Settle claims promptly and equitably.
  • Obtain releases, proofs of loss or compensation agreements, and issue company drafts in payments for claims.
Requirements
  • 3 or more years' experience handling workers' compensation claims as evidenced by career progression within the company or similar organization.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction from a Team Leader.
  • Authoritative technical knowledge of claims handling and claims terminologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with claimants, customers, insureds, brokers, attorneys, etc. in a positive manner concerning losses.
  • Strong knowledge of the company's products, services, coverages, and policy limits, along with a solid understanding of claims best practices.
  • Commanding knowledge of applicable state and local laws related to line of business handled.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Washington certification preferred.
What We Offer

Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary range of $47,500 to $75,500, depending on skills and experience. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. ESIS supports independent self-study time and will allow up to 4 months to pass the adjuster licensing exam.
