Har Sinai-Oheb Shalom Congregation is seeking a seasoned Executive Director to lead our team and drive the success of our organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic, administrative, and operational plans of the congregation.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Partner with the President and Senior Rabbi to provide vision and direction to the staff, Board of Trustees, and lay-led committees.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the congregation's mission and goals.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the congregation, including facilities management, security protocols, and personnel administration.
- Manage the congregation's budget, financial reporting, and grant management.
- Staff Management and Development:
- Supervise, motivate, and mentor the HSOSC staff to ensure effective team performance and retention.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Cultivation and Engagement:
- Support the Senior Rabbi, Board of Trustees, and lay leaders to advance the goals of the congregation.
- Nurture positive relationships with lay leaders, active engagement with leadership development, and management support for HSOSC's lay committees and organizations.
- 5+ years of experience in a complex organizational structure directing a multi-disciplinary management team.
- Seasoned in staff and organization development, as well as financial oversight and budget management.
- Experience in non-profits preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with current trends and developments in Jewish communal life, including knowledge of and respect for the practices and tenets of Judaism.
- A 4-year undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree in business administration or a related area with equivalent experience is preferred.
- Ability to nurture, build, and maintain successful and healthy working relationships.
- Proven ability to listen, build consensus, and demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated track record of ethical practices and transparent behavior.
- Ability to engage in strategic thinking and analytical skills to make organized and informed decisions.
