Radiation Therapist

United Urology Group is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for performing the accurate delivery of prescribed ionizing therapeutic radiation under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. This involves interpreting and implementing treatment plans, educating patients on procedures and side effects, and operating complex equipment.

• Interpret and implement treatment plans as directed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Educate patients on procedures, skincare, and side effects
• Perform simulation procedures and prepare immobilization devices
• Monitor patients' clinical progress and refer to Radiation Oncologist or Executive Director as necessary
• Operate therapeutic equipment, ensure proper patient positioning, and monitor patients during procedures
• Evaluate and assess treatment machine operations and report malfunctions
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, patients, and families

• Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy School
• Current ARRT and State licensure required
• Current BLS license required
• Minimum of six (6) months' experience as a staff therapist

• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Current knowledge of clinical practice, radiation protection, and quality assurance
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
