Medication Administration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Administration Specialist to join our team at Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC. This is a full-time position with a variable schedule, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
About the RoleAs a Medication Administration Specialist, you will be responsible for administering medications to residents in accordance with established nursing standards and policies. Your primary focus will be on providing safe and effective medication management services to ensure the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications to residents as ordered by attending physicians
- Prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications accurately and safely
- Complete necessary forms, charts, and reports in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care information
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff
- High school diploma or equivalent required; licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certifications preferred
- Knowledge of medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms for medication administration
- Ability to accurately measure, record, and report vital signs
